Ann Nice enough book; cover a little boring, but, for the price, OK. Only owned a paperback copy, wanted it in hardcover.

Middle School Teacher This 50th anniversary printing of the great classic is an excellent reproduction of the first printing of the book.Even the pages feel "old". I was given an actual first edition as a gift, but bought this one to read from instead of using my valulable original. It's a book I can read over and over again.

Busy Mom The lessons in this book are timeless. And, while there are lessons, it is not preachy. Every time I read this book I get a little something different out of it - probably it depends on where I am in my life journey. Always relevant!

Booklady This edition was purchased as a gift. I own a first edition and wouldn't part with it!

WePlusTwo Even if you read it in high school, you need to pick up this classic and read it again. It's a timeless story of youth and innocence and the all too real ugliness of the world. Read it and talk to your children about it, it applies to present day issues just as much as the past.

m154 This book is such a classic and amusingly and touchingly written from a child's perspective. It is as appropriate for a tween as for an adult and very deftly profiles human rights at a time when race relations were even more strained than today.

A forever classic that no one should go without reading.

cindy this is a masterpiece i dont know why anybody would not like it. i dont know any word that could describe it.i love it i would even read it 2 more times.

Jessica What this book a very good book was that I liked the characters in this story and I thought this book was very interesting

the reader This was a gift. It arrived not gift=wrapped as specified and w/o gift card as specified. The recipient did not know who sent it. VERY disappointing. Will not use mail order again!
